our story

Carlian Contracting was founded by Ian Root, and was really an answer to a calling. After completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph, Ian moved to Niagara to be with his wife Carly, the other namesake of the company. Ian completed his Red Seal Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry and began to build the company from the ground up.

Carlian Contracting is driven by the concept of “home.” Home is an important notion to us and our clients. To have a safe, comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day, to share with friends, to raise a family in, and to retreat to makes all the difference. We aim to help our clients build that feeling into their living space. Our creative designs and quality building practices mean that you can be confident that your home is not only stylish and comfortable, but safe and durable.
